March Lion

In like a lamb and out like a lion! The month doesn't want to give up this year. Cold, blustery, even snow and hail this last weekend. Well, tomorrow it better end. Here's the lion in the sky pouncing yet again!

Well, Cap't Jack, Mika & I have a new adoption 'Lil Syd'. They get along really well together, but for sure, Mika lets him know that she is the 'AlphaGirl'! Good on her! Well, Syd was so excited hearing Mika barking one afternoon, that he forgot to use the stairs to get off the deck...and so got a good crack on his elbow! Not broken, but very tender & he had a splint on for a couple of weeks. He's getting around pretty good now, but it will take a while to get the strength built up.
Though, he is learning to enjoy getting around on the 4-wheeler w/ me : ) He has to sit up front, though, won't ride in the back.

We've been dealing with several strays around here the last month or so. It is really maddening! A couple male dogs that no one really wants & wander all over. A pretty little female that showed up a few days ago. I think we found a home for her. We just can't deal with any more. All the houses here are up to their limit or over with dogs and almost every one of them is a stray! People, if you can't keep a dog, don't have a dog! If you have one, love it and GET IT FIXED!!! There are just too many sad, unloved & homeless dogs and cats in this supposedly rich, smart country!!
